Development Variance Permit to increase the permitted storeys of an accessory building.

  • Recommendation

    THAT Development Variance Permit DVP00404 (Attachment A to the Report to Council dated June 4th, 2024) for property at 14650 Carrs Landing Road (Roll: 01751.124; PID: 016-351-240) to allow a two-storey accessory building, requiring a half-storey variance, be approved.

Agricultural Land Reserve application to temporarily retain an existing single family residence during the construction of new single family home.

  • Recommendation

    THAT Agricultural Land Reserve application ALR00177 for property at 12125 Pow Road, legally described as LOT 1 SECTION 21 TOWNSHIP 20 OSOYOOS DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN 6747, Roll 02792.000 be supported;

    AND THAT ALR00177 be forwarded to the Agricultural Land Commission.

Annual grant applications from the Okanagan Centre, Oyama and Winfield Memorial Community Halls.

  • Recommendation

    THAT the following Community Hall Capital Grant Applications be approved:

    • Okanagan Centre Community Hall total request in the amount of $17,173;
    • Oyama Community Hall total request in the amount of $9,450.00 from Council Contingency; and
    • Winfield Memorial Hall total request in the amount of $4,575.00 from Community Hall Capital Grant.

    AND THAT funding for the above noted grants be allocated as follows $15,000 from the Community Hall Capital Grant Funds and $16,198 from Council Contingency.

To authorize execution of the Annual Operating Agreement for BC Transit service.

  • Recommendation

    THAT the 2024-2025 Annual Operating Agreement between the District of Lake Country and BC Transit, for transit service, for the period April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 be authorized.
